We are having perfomance issues for searching across all mailboxes. It is apparently a fairly complex query ( our internal audit can't tell us specifics ) and is searching 8500 mailboxes across 16 databases.
Not only is the search slow, but it is also bringing the mailbox server to it's knees - both the auditor account and discovery account are on the same database, and it seems only that database server is affected.
So my questions are :
What is the expected performance and CPU hit?
Could this be minimized by having the audit account and discovery account in their own separate database?
Thanks,
